What is the GMA?

A Global Missions Advance (GMA) is a week-long event on the island of Malta that brings together missions staff and SBC members with the goal of greater effectiveness in Great Commission sending and going. This extended time of interaction in a geographically central location allows for relationships to be built, hearts to be stirred, commitments to be strengthened and a godly passion toward personal involvement in global gospel proclamation to be ignited.

What’s the Purpose?

  • For the missions staff – Encouragement & Networking

  • For the church – Exposure & Commitment

  • For the willing – Separate & Saturate

  • The Global Missions Advance will be April 12-19, 2027.

  • Attendees will stay at the Odycy Hotel in St. Paul’s Bay on Malta. Rooms will be purchased through the church. Click here for pictures of the hotel.

  • The Faith Promise Missions budget will be used to aid our missions staff needing financial assistance to attend. SBC members will be responsible for their own cost which is estimated to be between $2,000 - $2,500 per person.

    • Attend the Members meeting on August 30 at 6pm

    • Attend World Missions Conference, Oct 28 - Nov 1
