For Tim, Roanoke has become home by way of Alabama, Missouri, Ohio (Go Buckeyes!), Colorado, and South Carolina. He had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home as the son of Pastor Rick and Cindy Ragan who served on the Shenandoah pastoral staff in the early years of SBC. He made a profession of faith at the age of four, but struggled through a dark season in his teen years. But God broke through and redeemed this season of struggle and turned it into a passion to minister to students.

Tim met his wife, Ashley, while they were both students at Roanoke Valley Christian Schools. They were married in June 2012 and enjoy life with their kids Charleigh, Russ and Able. Tim enjoys watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State football, Cleveland Indians baseball, playing basketball, lifting weights, and enjoying music, writing, and reading. 

Tim is a 2008 graduate of Roanoke Valley Christian Schools.  He holds a B.S. in Religion with a specialization in Student Ministry from Liberty University (2012) and spent two years teaching Bible on the RVCS staff before transitioning into the student ministry at Shenandoah. His passion in ministry is to teach the Word of God in a way that engages and equips students to grow their affections for Jesus and His church so they might ultimately become contributing members of the local church and activate their lives for service.
