Rob was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania to Tom and Marcia Gribbin as the middle child in a family of three boys.  His parents both love the Lord and raised him to have a love for Him and His Word.  After participating in high school track, soccer, and band, he graduated and enrolled in Bible College – first for a one year Bible Certificate from Philadelphia College of the Bible (now Cairn University) and then completed his B.A. in Biblical Studies at Piedmont Baptist College (now Carolina University) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Rob served in ministry as an Associate Pastor for eight years in Greensboro, NC prior to joining the staff at Shenandoah in 2011. Rob has served in various capacities as Youth Pastor, Children’s Pastor, and Camp & Conference Speaker.

Rob married his high-school sweetheart Anna, and they have three children. Ruth currently serves as a Ministry Assistant in the SBC office.  Ivan is working in the construction industry in the Roanoke area, and Kaitlyn is taking classes at Virginia Western Community College.

Rob enjoys snow, watching football, chocolate, and backyard bonfires with friends.
